So I’ve Set A Goodreads Goal…
I had never even realised Goodreads was actually a place you can review books and share what you are reading
(I must be living under a rock).
Anyway, I read hardly any books last year, which was majorly disappointing, so I thought if I actually set myself a goal/went along with a real challenge, I would *force* myself to read more!
Im making it sound like its a chore, but im genuinely really excited to have loads of books on my shelf AND it means I have the perfect excuse to buy more, and have my birthday list just consisting of books.
You can head over to my Goodreads account to see what im reading now, and what I want to read.
I haven’t even got 60 books that I do want to read, so if you have any suggestions, please comment or message me!
I have, believe it not, already finished two books – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by JK. Rowling. I finished them both within the new year, so i’m counting them!
Be Warned – There’s possible spoilers in the following text…
Only little ones though…
What I Want To Read
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by JK. Rowling
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK. Rowling
Poor Cedric *crys*…
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by JK. Rowling
This one is HUGE. I mean I have read big books, but they scare me. I think this one will take a while!
- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by JK. Rowling
So looking forward to reading this one. Although it’s a bit sad too, isn’t it?
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK. Rowling
The final book! The Final BATTLE.
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by JK. Rowling
I mean, I have to read this once I’ve finished the series.
- Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
- Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstance by Ruth Emmie Lang
I mean I’ve only read good reviews, thats all im going off here at the moment.
- The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien
I loooooove the Hobbit film, and since I’ve started reading Harry Potter, I thought, why not the Hobbit too? (Although im not sure about reading The Lord of The Rings)
- The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I think my brother has this book, and I’m sure I have watched the film, although I cannot remember what happens, which is a good thing, because I can really read it from scratch.
- Jayne Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
I was given this book to read when I was in school, and I hated it… Sorry. I actually looked at the last page, shut the book, and never opened it again! But now im older, I really want to try some classics again, and hopefully love them.
- The Dry by Jane Harper
I bought this book a while ago when I was in my reading thriller book phase (which evidently didn’t last long because i still haven’t read it).
- Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
I have also had this book for ages and never read it! I loved Fangirl (this is a sort of extra from that), so im hoping its as good as that.
- Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell
These are just two little wintery short stories. Which I guess I should read before winter ends…
- Turtles All The Way Down by John Green
Well, it’s a John Green book. That’s why I want to read it!
That’s all I have so far! Nowhere near 60, so please tell me what you’ve read, and loved!
I’m not 100% certain on what my favourite genre is yet. I tend to flit in and out of reading all different books; ranging from YA, to thrillers, to fantasy…
I’d like to try some science fiction but I have no idea where to start…
I’m not sure about romance, I like the nice stories, I still read it. But I’m not sure if it’s my ‘thing’.
Thank you for reading!
Please comment and tell me what books you will be reading, and tell me about your Goodreads goal!
Please find the books I have mentioned in this post below! I hope you enjoy if you choose to read them!
